Simon West’s WAR WOLF Howls For Production This November

Still on deck for action cinema favorite Simon West is the upcoming release of the Duncan Falconer adaptation, Stratton and crowdfuded action comedy, Salty. In the meantime, the filmmaker’s newest task on his roster will be heading to Cannes courtesy of Fortitude International with the new period thriller, War Wolf.

West will direct from a script by Andy Briggs and Paul Finch that places the film smack in the middle of the Hundred Years’ War between France and England as Earl Hugo, an English soldier must fend off a reawakened creature of legendary within the walls of the castle he conquered from French assassin Mauchet. Award-winning Igor Studios’s own Dave and Lou Elsey (Mission: Impossible, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Wolves) are providing the necessary make-up effects and costuming for the titular creature itself.

Ileen Maisel, Lawrence Elman and Jib Polhemus are producing the film which begins shooting in November while Finch, credited for his British detective series of Heck novels, is also developing a novelization for War Wolf. Stay tuned!
