Currently awaiting its release stateside is Skyline: Warpath, from director Liam O’Donnell which now resides under the XYZ Films label for North American distribution. A trailer is still pending following post production but O’Donnell is out over the weekend teasing a new look at actor Iko Uwais, reprising his role from 2017’s Beyond Skyline, the second installment of the sci-fi action saga that began with 2010’s Skyline.
O’Donnell helms the fourth installment, as he did for the second as well as 2020’s third chapter Skylin3s, reteaming him with Uwais and adding Scott Adkins to the saga from a script by the director. The movie is set five years after the events of Beyond Skyline and follows Sua (Uwais) who leads The Resistance against the aliens. When Sua discovers the powerful alien Radial Gauntlet, he must deal with both the corrupt Eric (Adkins) as well as the army of alien invaders.
Also starring are Louis Mandylor, Charlotte Vega, and returning franchise mainstay Yayan Ruhian, as well as Ali Fikry, Zack Lee, Kelly Tandiono, Lutesha, and more. Check out the post below and follow O’Donnell on Instagram.
