There’s no release date as of yet, but the official trailer is live for Southern Nightmare from director Charlie Steeds. The film is the latest out of Black Mandala which is known prominently for its rollout of speciality thrillers and horrors alike, and judging by the looks of the trailer for Southern Nightmare, I’d say it’s right where it belongs.

Sherri and Anna Beth, two best friends on a road trip to Texas, make a brief stop in rural Georgia — a decision that quickly becomes a descent into hell. Captured by a trio of deranged rednecks, the girls are imprisoned, chained, drugged, and forced into a nightmare of exploitation, survival, and violence. Their Southern nightmare has only just begun.
