STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Lands An L.A. Premiere Date!

Did you know that someone managed to snag $120,000 for a Stormtrooper helmet at an auction last month? Well, I didn’t know until today, so I’m kind of kicking myself in the ass for not being a London SW fanboy at the moment.

The craze is amping up for all things Star Wars just a little bit more every month with Star Wars: Rebels getting a Season 2 trailer debut at New York Comic Con this week, fans still on high alert with J.J. Abrams’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens this December and what lies ahead for the upcoming sequels and spin-offs thereafter. With The Force Awakens coming in a few months, fans can expect a fun and full evening ahead, although moviegoers in Los Angeles will get a boost as of this week.
THR reports Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be screening at a venue in Los Angeles on December 14; It won’t be at the Chinese Theatre where George Lucas premiered Star Wars in 1977 and said venue is being kept under a tight lid while early press screenings will be held.
The film itself is, however, still poised to open on December 18 in the U.S., but not before it gets a leg up in France and the U.K. on December 16 and 17, respectively.
Alas, more waiting…I know, but whatevs. I need to go find a Stormtrooper helmer flying around somewhere. Cha-ching!
