Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter began filming on Thursday as the latest feature film addition to the multimedia tapestry from Disney and Lucasfilm. We also have a first look at actor Flynn Gray alongside Ryan Gosling who was firstly cast back in April.

Rounding out the roster are Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Amy Adams. Jonathan Tropper (“Warrior,” “See,” The Adam Project) wrote the film which is described as “an entirely original story set in a period of time never before explored in Star Wars.”.

Star Wars: Starfighter is produced by Levy and Kathleen Kennedy, and is exec produced by Gosling, and by Dan Levine, Mary McLaglen, and Josh McLaglen. The movie opens on May 28, 2027.
