Stockwell’s TEMPLE Films This Week, Snipes To Star And Produce

Not long since setting the stage on the small screen for NBC’s The Player, action star Wesley Snipes is ready to make things happen over at Erebus Pictures for WWE Studios’s new movie, Temple. Anne Heche, Dave Annable and Seth Rollins are also cast with Snipes set to produce the film along with Erebus’s Gene Simmons (formerly of KISS) and WWE Studios president Michael Luisi.

The film, written by Matt Savelloni and directed by In The Blood helmer John Stockwell, centers on a team of trained operatives who find themselves trapped and surrounded by a strange and horrific phenomena when the artificial intelligence inside an insolated military compound. The film marks Snipes’s latest return to the film fray in Spike Lee’s 2015 movie, Chi-Raq, and the star-studded 2014 threequel, The Expendables 3.
Via Deadline, Snipes says the following: “It’s exciting to find myself in a genre I have always wanted to explore. We are looking forward to a great brand collaboration with Erebus, WWE and Gene.”

Filmimg commences this week while WWE Studios takes the lead in U.S. sales with Voltage selling the film internationally. Stockwell recently wrapped actor and martial artist Alain Moussi’s feature film debut in Kickboxer: Vengenace which opens later this year from RLJ Entertainment.
