SUPERCELL: Highland Unveils First Look At New Disaster Thriller Starring Alec Baldwin

Highland Film Group unveiled the first look at Herbert James Winterstern (NBC’s “Siberia”) new movie, Supercell. The film, which toplines Alec Baldwin from a script by Winterstern and co-writer Anna Elizabeth James (Deadly Illusions), just wrapped principal photography in Montana and Georgia in the U.S. from Short Porch Pictures and Thomasville Pictures.

Supercell tells the thrilling tale of William (Daniel Diemer), a good-hearted teenager, who lives in hope of following in his father’s footsteps, the legendary storm chaser Bill Brody who was killed in action. His father’s legacy has been turned into a storm chasing tour business managed by the greedy and reckless owner Zane Rogers (Alec Baldwin). After William runs away from home, he teams up with his dad’s old partner Roy (Skeet Ulrich) and enters into the world of storm chasing. But the tornadoes have only gotten bigger. As his mother (Anne Heche) anxiously searches for her son, she’s joined by his classmate (Jordan Kristine Seamón) in hopes of protecting William as Zane leads the group deep into the eye of the most dangerous supercell ever seen.

Ryan Winterstern (Most Wanted, Inheritance) and Nathan Klingher (Zone 414, Becky) are producing for Short Porch next to Thomasville’s Ryan Donnell Smith (Academy Award nominated The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Tax Collector), and with Anjul Nigam (Crown Vic) exec producing.

Highland Film Group reps international sales on Supercell with CAA Media Finance repping domestic.
