Principal photography recently wrapped for Taken From Rio Bravo, director Joe Cornet’s sequel to his upcoming 19th century Western, Gunfight At Rio Bravo.

Penned by Craig Hamann, the film features Alexander Nevsky who leads the cast once more as the mysterious Russian gunslinger who, in the first film, rises up to help liberate a small town from a bloodthirsty gang of outlaws. This time, the focus centers on our heroes as they wage war on sadistic human traffickers in a effort to rescue five women who are about to be sold into sex-slavery at the Mexican border.

The film also stars Cornet along with Matthias Hues, Irina Antonenko, Don “The Dragon” Wilson, Kerry Goodwin, James Chalke, Cynthia Rothrock and John Fallon.

Pic hails from ETA Films, San Rafael Production and Nevsky’s Hollywood Storm production company. Douglas “Fini” Finical is exec producing alongside Art Camacho (Half Past Dead & Half Past Dead 2) who served as stunt coordinator and fight choreographer. Sam Wilkerson serves as director of photography as he did on the first film, with score by co-exec producer Sean Murray (White Elephant). Cody Miller (Maximum Impact) is editing the film for its post-production.
