Chinese online streaming banner, iQIYI, is aiming to follow through on announcements over the weekend regarding Tang Jia San Shao’s hit novel, Mysterious Seas And Lands of Wonder: The Matchless Pearl. The goal is to develop the IP into multiple content formats including original drama, cartoon, film, game, anime and more.
The move comes following an exclusive agreement the renowned author signed an exclusive agreement with iQIYI’s literature platform prior to publishing the novel in June. According to the announcement on Sunday, Tang Jia San Shao plans to develop the book into a series of stories over the coming decade.
