Teresa Palmer Gets A Role In The POINT BREAK Remake

Alcon Entertainment’s remake of the 1991 cop thriller, Point Break is set to begin shooting at the end of next week, and the film is officially casting Warm Bodies leading lady, Aussie actress Teresa Palmer for the female lead in the film. Palmer will portray the role of Tyler (or a similiar role) previously performed by actress Lori Petty in director Kathryn Bigelow’s initial film as the unsuspecting love interest caught between her ex-boyfriend, Bhodi, the thrill-seeking ringleader of a masked group of surfers/bankrobbers, and her new love interest, undercover FBI agent Johnny Utah.

Both male leads will be played respectively by actors Edgar Ramirez (Clash Of The Titans) and Luke Bracey (The November Man), in addition to actor Ray Winstone from a script by Salt scribe Kurt Wimmer that will take place in the world of extreme dynamic sports. Production is set to take place in multiple territories around the world, including Germany, Austria, Italy, Mexico, Venezuela, French Polynesia, and India with Invincible helmer Ericson Core directing.
Point Break flies on to the big screen on August 7, 2015.
