The more I watch actor Wang Qianyuan‘s performances, the more I’m keen on his other prospects. He was definitely a surprise to enjoy with Brotherhood Of Blades several years ago and the actor has grown even more formidable in his craft.
His footing in quality drama aside, he’s back applying the fisticuffs in The Big Shot, Wu Bai’s forthcoming loose remake of South Korean thriller, Veteran – about a relentless detective who pursues a wealthy heir to a large conglomerate who thinks he’s above the law. The best feature here is that with Wang’s acumen for physical film action performance comes its handling by the venerable Jung Doo-Hung (Natural City, Arahan, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Sense8) who worked on the original.
Also starring are Bao Bei’er, Mei Ting, Qu Jingjing, Jack Kao and Pan Yueming for the film’s December 21 China release!
