Principal photography has since wrapped on the new thriller, The Gardener. Several behind-the-scenes photos have made their way online in the past few weeks revealing actors Robert Bronzi (Death Kiss and Once Upon A Time In Deadwood, Escape From Death Block 13), and martial arts star Gary Daniels (The Expendables, I Am Vengeance).
Bronzi stars from a story by Jeff Miller and screenplay by Ben Demaree, that focuses on Peter, an immigrant worker in England whose quiet, idyllic life as a gardener at manor house will find him turning up the volume, and employing his old skills to save the family he works for from home invaders.
Scott Jeffrey and Rebecca J. Matthews share directing duties and are producing via their Proportion Productions label. Ben Demaree penned the script from a story by Jeff Miller who exec produces along with longtime producer Mark L. Lester (Class Of 1999, Showdown In Little Tokyo, The Base).
In addition to The Gardener, Jeffrey and Matthews are currently in post-production after recently wrapping their shoot on upcoming actioner, HellKat, which they directed together, as well as produced. That project has co-stars, actors A.J. Blackwell and Michael Hoad who also join The Gardener, with Hoad serving as action director. The two have worked respectively as actor and director/fight choreographer on Hoad’s own emerging film roster of late, including shortfilms Shoguns Of Gymbox, and Blood Choke Retribution.
Daniels is currently in tow with action thriller Repeater, his third collaboration with director R. Ellis Frazier (Misfire, Rumble).
