THE HIT LIST: April 29, 2019

I’m not even halfway done with the stuff I need to get finished with but it’s been two weeks and so it’s definite time for another installment of the Hit List to help keep things kinetic and moving for our devoted stunt talents out there.

Clockwise from top left: Jisaura Cardinale, Rustic B., Jade Dregorius, David Conk, Chelsea Goldsmith, Bryan Larkin, Holly Dowell, Emmanuel Manzanares, Lauren Okadigbo, Wildchild Gil Sanabria

Actor Rob Mars is up first in the first playlist, comprised of the usual action acting, stunt performance and demo reels from some of today’s best and brightest, and in Mars’ case, pretty damn hard hitting!

The playlist continues onward with entries by Xavier Luo, Rebecca Ferguson, Daniel Himschoot, Claire Hoogenboom, Danny Rivera, Elodie Pretorious, Timothy Flood, Jose Rodriguez, Amy Schumacher, Chad Mason, Holly Dowell, Cameron Tubbs, Lauren Okadigbo, James Ortiz, Ermias Baraki, Carin Nateal, Michael Blouin, Chelsea Goldsmith, James Procelli, Jisaura Cardinale and stunt coordinator Ken Quinn.

We’ve also got some trailer stuff’n things to share, first of which you can already read more about by clicking here for Peter Jang’s Pawns. Moving Image also keeps the pace going with Joe Zohar offering his own filmic laboring with a trailer for inspired fan film, Street Fighter: Genesis, featuring Marc Canonizado and Sage Northcutt, while just beneath is the latest official trailer for the oncoming contract killer shortfilm sequel, Dead End II: A Justified Kill, starring and directed by Bryan Larkin and co-directed by Carter Ferguson.

Now, it’s time to get some fightin’ done with performances by Lisa Connell, Louise Giavas, Chai Jean Yinn, Lucy Wordsworth and Marie Drisch over at CombatWorks. Jade Dregorious take flight in fight concept, Wing, from Tolga Degirmen (more on him later), while Alex Cromwell and Jamal Valentine go blow-for-blow and some Luke Cage/Bushmaster practice action for Dylan Hintz at DC Stunt Coalition, Holly McCredden unleashes Hela unto Asgaard opposite Jace Lee in a Thor-inspired battle scene, and Lauren Mary Kim pens her latest public entry for The Kali Diaries now online with Amy Johnston.

Aussie fight guy David Vuong takes to a lively nostagic beat for a 2-on-1 courtesy of Silver Harvest. After this, we witness Shama Sikander battling her own odds in a parking lot practice fight from Force Square Productions, while Renan Medeiros and Davi Angello face-off for Omega Action Design. Afterwards, it’s back-to-back anime wins for Rustic B. and King Vader in an epic dance/ninja battle homage to Naruto, as are the gonzo comedic kung fu feats and otaku tomfoolery of Martial Club‘s own Andy Le, Brian Le and Daniel Mah. South Africa’s own Toni Jean Erasmus takes the stage once more in a reupload of a previous practice action short she did with Stuart Williamson in Game Over, and Matt Philiben goes above and beyond to get the good stuff in Gentlemen and Violence.

Chintya Candranaya brings some more action and goofy odd comedy to her channel just before Wildchild Gil Sanabria and José M. Oslán kick off Happy Hour for AIM Action Design. Following that is another reupload of an LBP classic that has seen many a list of online action faves from fans for the Magic Jacket… yep, whoever wears the jacket bares the mark and has to fend off the odds. Following that is an action-packed western horror hybrid pitting cowboys against vampires in Karlstown, sent to us by Eskindir Tesfay who stars and directs with Tolga Degirmen centric on the action.

CC Ice and CJ Padera front an epic, seething tale of brutal violence and fiery vengeance in David Conk’s action thriller music video, Go For Broke, featuring the title song by Glasslands, and Tim Salas vies for a Frantic Escape, new from director Daniel Mitchell-Rodriguez – client to the fight-sound stylings of YouTuber, Epic Fights – Tony Jax.

Afterwards is Fred Nguyen Khan who brings The Immortals to The Office in Boss Fight!, a cataclysmic tale of what happens when someone doesn’t follow instructions. Last but not least is Better Business Bureau agent James Couche as he lays down the law in Attack The Dojo for Gunsavior Pictures.

Enjoy the hits!
