The Catch
Akihiro Haga and Jay Kwon in THE CATCH Sloyerstunts

I’m having a whirlwind weekend as you’re reading this so let’s get past the formalities and right to this week’s installment of The Hit List!

We kick off with another selection of explosive stunt and action demos featuring the following: Nana Miya, Rachel Shier, Sain Ferhad, Phi Nguyen, Alex Suarez, Justin Carney, Jean-Paul Ly, Linn Solem, Samantha Perez, Ronnie Shalvis, Thomas Lorber, Miroslav Notch Karel, Kujo Ashanti, Pai-Sen Wang, Brenda Castillo, Antonia Timbol, Justin Chang, Luke Davis, Marley Webster, Kyle Sutherland, Bobby Hernandez, Krystle Martin, Paige Rhea Allison, Djamel Bride, Jonty Green, Emilien Bergeret, Jacob Ellis, Mollie Wilson, Kate Bera, Sam Symons and Thai stunt coordinator Jakkrit Kanokpodjananon.

It’s been a while since I talked about R.L. Scott and I think we’ll be hearing from him a little more this year beyond what he’s got happening. That entails the official trailer for Jade Rising from Scott’s Wonder Studios and Silver Axe Studios, and it’s premiering only IGTV via @sensory_overload_films at 12:00 noon PST.

Following that is the recent trailer for Most Dangerous Game, one of several programs coming to the newly-launched snackable content platform, Quibi. This show arrives in April and stars Christoph Waltz and Liam Hemsworth.

Just beneath are a small quintet of BTS stills courtesy of Vi-Dan Tran for an upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 fan film, and a batch of Instagram stills from director Peilin Kuo’s upcoming wuxia short, Once Upon A Time In The Bamboo.

Time to get some practice fights and short films in for the last round, and we begin with entries from Kai Young with Jonathan Kaya and Will Bennett, West Empire Productions with Ashley Becciani and Claire Lanay, a pair of videos from Atrium Sports Hamburg‘s own stunt fighting workshop, Tyler Williams lensing Jennifer Murray, Jackson Rozario and Alex Chung, Kyle Murillo with Jaden Ponce and Kyla Hymas, Lee Chesley with Joseph Oreste and Micaiah Chau, Ron Smoorenburg with Katrina Grey, Kamen Ramen for a suited-up Indie Initiative Fight Test, Jared Kirby’s Elephant In The Room, Aaron Gassor and Carl Van Roon in Mental Kombat, Patrick Chu with a double dose of action and comedy in Take Off Your Shoes, and Deadpool Auditions For Justice League, and award-winning Amadei Weiland as he suits up as Spider-Man in pursuit of the Joker.

Godefroy Ryckewaert turns things up a notch with No Plan, No Gain, Suo Liu brings something new and dark to the table with Evil Doll Fight, Gabriella Corvina with a look at When She Does This On A First Date, Zahir Khan collabs with K Dynamique for No Name, and Rodney Alexandre comes out of retirement in the first episode of action thriller webseries, Hard Drive. Last and WAY far from least, Bryan Sloyer returns to the Hit List with two new gems of incomparable and stunning action and drama in The Catch, and Abba, and Bat In The Sun merges universes once more with Black Widow/Winter Soldier vs. Nightwing/Black Canary.

Enjoy the hits!
