There are so many things happening in the world as we speak that it’s been difficult not to get sidetracked what with all that I have to do from this point forward. At any rate, the last three weeks have been quite the emotional rollercoaster in my personal life and with enough time, at least tentatively, to reflect and think on what I can do differently.
2019 was an emotional rollercoaster of highs and lows. The high were relatively a given with the amount of talent on display for The Hit List column, and so it’s my honor and privilege to present the final installment of The Hit List for the year until its return in January, TBD!
I’ve got a lot on my plate going forward in the next few months. Hopefully life doesn’t swallow me whole by then and if I’m fortunate, perhaps I’ll share the details later this year. At current, however, my focus is on maintaining the usual normal day-to-day here, and as always, that includes another round of formidable stunt reels and shorts for The Hit List.
Stunt performer and filmmaker Rustic B. is back with another Fight Scene Challenge, engaging action fans, audiences and talents from around the country and the world. The challenge was issued at the top of July with a theme focused on fight scenes from favorite films, recreated beat for beat or as close as possible.
The last five years have been an extraordinary thrill for us with stunt multi-hyphenate James Young being one of the biggest that Film Combat Syndicate covered in this site’s young life, and much credit goes out to Darren Bailey for being pivotal in engineering that for us for a 2014 sit-down with Young and fellow Marvel MCU cohort, Film Combat Syndicate favorite Aaron Toney.
