THE HIT LIST: February 4, 2019

Having been in touch with a few people in the last several weeks since the year started, it’s got mw pondering my possibilities a bit as we approach the summer. Provided things look up for me this year, I should be getting some more outdoor minutes with friends and new faces, so we’ll see..

Clockwise from top left: Caitlin McNerney, Will Coneys, Maurice Chan, Omar Zaki, Afton Rentz, Kua Whittman, Jefferson Lewis III, Janelle Beaudry, Ben Milord, Antonio Moore

In the meantime, another installment of the Hit List has arrived and as always, we begin with reels aplenty, filled with stunts and training gems galore, commenced by none other than Boyka himself, Scott Adkins (Undisputed 4: Fight For Glory).

The playlist continues with reels from Janelle Beaudry, Abel Djilali, April Taft, Antonio Moore, Oscar Dorta, Eugenia Yurevskaya, A.J. Gagliardi, Florence Rubinger, Joe Santos, Afton Rentz, Francisco Grey, Michelle Jean, Rich Thompson and Holland Diaz.

There’s nothing to promote this week per se, and so we’re just gonna skip right to the fights and films of the week starting with a pair of practice vids courtesy of Jay Kwon featuring Tong Sre opposite Oscar Leiva, and a group of stunt players giving actors Schell Peterson and Kua Whittman a run for their money. Grant Powell weighs in with a little pre-viz for Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thugs Of Hindostan, Micah Thompson takes aim at Sean Evans in the first episode of Aneux Studios mini-series, One Way Out, and actors Caitlin McNerney and Thomas Douceron showcase the results of their own training in a practice vid from Ben Milord and fight choreographer Maurice Chan.

Clockwise from top left: Gary Peebles, Xin Wuku, Edwin Quinones, Brendon Huor, Brian Kuttel, D.Y. Sao, Blanca Rosario, Jerry Quill, Phedra Syndelle, Alvin Hsing

From there we have Liza Janette Wilk with a few minutes of drama to couple with some fight action of her own, followed by John Satberry’s latest “pit session” with Ballistic Blade Entertainment‘s Edwin Quinones, David “Dax” Bauer and Alexis Quinn fighting over a Milky Way bar, Joey Min and Brian Kuttel ironing out their differences the only way to kung fu experts know how in Art School Dropouts’ Kung F-U (courtesy of yours truly), Martial Club on being “martial artists” compared to “normal people”, Omar Zaki and Will Coneys taking the action Underground, Malay Kim at EMC Revolution breathing life back into the Monkeys with an exhilirating play on Roshambo? Jefferson Lewis III’s six-minute action-packed stunt ensemble, KI: Kinetic Intelligence led by Phedra Syndelle, and Raphaël Hébert’s long-awaited timeless fantasy action short, Past And Future Kings, starring Jason Cavalier Leboeuf.

Enjoy!
