THE HIT LIST: June 24, 2019

The next three or four weeks will determine if another installment of The Hit List will arise another two weeks from now. I sort of have a thing going and so my time might be a little more preoccupied and may vary in terms of what I normally cover on this site so, as always, it’s a wait and see.

Clockwise from top left: Stephanie Pham, Steve Coleman, Jay Kwon, Bryan Sloyer, Yadi Nieves, Akihiro Haga, Chris Cortez, Tamiko Brownlee, Cory Beeston, David Chen

Actress and stunt performer Yadi Nieves hits us up via Vimeo just before Jon Beal and Kai Young kick off the playlist below featuring “All The Hits” from JK Films. The playlist finishes out with reels from Nathan Barris, Danny Rivera, Tamiko Brownlee, David Chen, Benjamin Zgorecky, Joseph Roark, Jonathan Vellner, Mariko Saito, Lukas Stoiber, Chris Cortez, Joshua Romeo, Damian Mavis, Cory Beeston, Dita Tantang, Rustam Popkov, Layne Herrin, Alyson Pickett, Steve Coleman and Micah Karns!

There’s only two trailers in our midst for The Hit List and that goes to Bryan Sloyer and his latest, Heart:System, featuring a raft of stunt performance talents including Jay Kwon and Yoshi Sudarso with Caitlin Hutson, Shai DeBroux and Akihiro Haga. Second is the long-awaited follow-up to 2016 short, Lady, from Art School Dropouts, writer and director Joey Min and featuring Stephanie Pham in the title role once more.

Time to get the fights and films going as always for the final round of the Hit List and we begin with the latest entry over at Anthony Czumalowski’s YouTube channel performing with Nailah Johnson and Hector Melgoza.

The hits continue with D.L. MacDonald’s latest called Reverie with Kirpa Bwal and Chase Jacusiw, Kyle Freemantle with Matt Bell, some in-house gun fu from Kefi Abrikh over at his channel, Kai Young and Will Bennett over at JK Films, Patrick Chu with John Cihangir, Thaddeus Ygnacio clawing his way through Anthony Giovanni Elias and co. over at Genesis Action Stunts, Ray Mihane showcasing her skillset over at Garage Hero, and Chris Cowan sharing his own ‘Hero Academia’ through Nathan People and the superpowered Gui DaSilva.

Dave Macomber makes his stellar return to the Hit List with a pair of vids – one pre-vizzing some action from the hit show Deadly Class, and Natasha Paul’s latest lead in home invasion thriller, Wrong House. The playlist continues with an entry from Prateek Parmar’s channel followed by actress Ridhi Dogra over at Force Square in Mumbai, Unworthy Productions nodding the cult fandom once more with Arrow Beyond, Mickey Facchinello’s return to the Hit List with Guy Ritche-inspired beat ’em up piece, Mickey, and Dom Fred finally getting some screentime of his own in Manhunt: The Test.

Danny Rivera spotlights a good cause with his new short, The Homeless Man, just before we touch base with Team Red Pro and Quirktastic now in the midst of a peridoic series release of shorts for their anime crossover piece, Afro Samurai Champloo, and Akihiro Haga leads a bloody, vengeful charge into enemy territory in Hitokiri from Jay Kwon.

Director and action director Izzaz Mohd Sani and his Leqir Stunt Action Team make their return to The Hit List with the release of action thriller, Packs, and Dave Ardito bookends with an inspirational blend of action and drama in the new short, Vicarious.

Enjoy the hits!
