So…how about that second season of Iron Fist?
Feel free to tweet me on the matter. At any rate, we’re back to another installment of the Hit List and this one’s coming at you short and sweet this week as the candidates were limited. The stunt training and performance reels are pretty rad and we begin with the latest from Allen Quindigian, followed by reels from Johan Lindqvist, Jarell Hall, Alex Bailly, Ricky Barksdale, Britannia Fader, Tyler Elliot, Michael Bekemeier, Ellis McFarland, Matt Yanagiya, Antjuan Rhames and Emilio Spinoza.
There are a few items to promote this week and we begin with a trailer for upcoming short, Dead Zone. The project is set to arrive sometime in late 2018, hailing from Nocturnal Pictures whose Leroy Kincaide has been off and on my radar since the 2015 fan flick, Freeman. Slowly but surely, he’s etching his way now into feature territory with Dead Zone looking to be Kincaide’s next short film achievement before then.
Following that are recent promo stills from Robert Samuels’ latest upcoming episode of indie martial arts adventure webseries, Final Contact, introducing Roxalinda Vazquez into the fray. I could be wrong but I do sense a few surprises here as well. Take a look!
Time to throw some fists and kicks to bookend this week and we start with a reupload of a practice action video featuring Grant Powell and Filip Ciprian Florian, followed by Richard Centeno front and center for the side-by-side team pre-viz for the pivotal warehouse fight in Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Leonardo Rodrigo and Raniel Setoue duel style-for-style for director Fillipe Ramos from Pinoia Filmes, and a shortfilm two-parter from a gang of stunt performers up-and-coming in Nepal with Freaked Out and Freaked Out 2, directed by Pema Dorje Lama.
Rounding it all out is…well…and actual feature length movie. With this site’s mission to cast a spotlight on talented, burgeoning performers and creatives, a film like Unlucky Stars stands as one of the more solemn fruits. A hard-earned effort made with limited funds and painstaking resolve by some of the most resilient performers you’ve seen online whether it was covered by us or elsewhere otherwise, director and actor Dennis Ruel’s journey completes one major chapter of his career out of a few he’s written since aligning himself with The Stunt People years ago. I have an interview with him well on the way and I can’t wait to deliver that to you, and until then, enjoy Unlucky Stars for all its worth.
