THE LOCK IN Teases Kung Fu Shapes And Big Stunts In The Official Trailer

Set to premiere at the upcoming Spirit Of Independence Film Festival in the UK is The Lock In, from writer, director and star Nathan Geering. The crowdfunded martial arts flick stands as the latest homage to old school kung fu film from Geering who’s made waves in the last few years on the shortfilm end, including 2024’s “Flaming Assassin”.

Visionary director Nathan Geering and Break-Fu Productions present a kung fu movie set in an English Pub.

A man trapped in a pub finds himself caught in the crossfire between a mysterious bartender and a gang hell bent on killing him at any cost.

To make matters worse our hero has arranged to go on a romantic date at the pub. When his date arrives things immediately take a turn for the worse as the pub closes it’s doors and holds a deadly event known as The Lock In. What started out as a romantic evening turns into a fight for survival.

The Lock In also stars Drew Sinclair and Keith Vitali, along with Connor Lee Dye, Hamish Cameron, Johnny Buffong, and Scott Matthews. The eighth Spirit Of Independence Film Festival launches its weekend festivities on Friday, September 25.

The trailer itself is also pretty exemplary in terms of the scale of stuntwork, including the glimpse of skydiving, a feat which has also earned Geering his share of acclaim at the festivals. Check it out below, along with a complimentary shortfilm he and Sinclair put together at the festival’s venue.
