Set to release next year is the upcoming third installation of the “Crows” trilogy with Crows Explode. Featuring a largely new line-up of badass teenagers with a grudge against authority, Crows Explode returns its story to the notorious breeding ground of territorial unrest that is the all-boys Suzuran High School as the new students battle it out while civil war brews with the neighboring Kurosaki Industrial High School.
The new film follows up director Takashi Miike’s 2007 and 2009 films with helmer Toyoda Toshiyaki now in the director’s seat, and a story beginning one month after the end of the second film, starring Masahiro Higashide, Taichi Saotome, Elly, Ryo Katsuji, Takanori Iwata, Kento Nagayama, Kyosuke Yabe, and Kenzo, with returning actor Yuya Yagira. The new website for Crows Explode lauched just several days ago with a brand new teaser ahead of the film’s April 12, 2014 Japan release.
