Naoki Takeda‘s directorial debut, Sengoku: Bloody Agent has been around for a couple of years now. It made the film festival rounds with some reviews now indicating the film fared less in comparison to Takanori Tsujimoto’s audience favorite, Bushido Man. Nonetheless, Oendan Productions’ latest is finally getting its day in Japan cinemas on October 11, and if you love a film loaded with an assortment of hot chicks and all kinds of far-eastern weaponry with bullet ballet and stylish action, Sengoku: Bloody Agent could be worth your time.
A team of martial arts and weapon masters, led by the revenge-seeking Aika, hunt down and destroy yakuza organizations in Japan. When they meet up with the Black Bullet organization, however, they may have met their match.
Sengoku: Bloody Agent stars Travelers actress Ayumi Kinoshita, and Lupin The Third co-star Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi, with Genichiro Osita, Rei Toda, Yuto Nakano, Rie Nishiwaki and Eisuke Sasai rounding out the main cast. Watch the new trailer below!
