Alas, the latest offering from Yash Raj Films and starring seasoned thesp Amitabh Bachchan along with Fatima Sana Shaikh and Bang Bang! actress Katrina Kaif is on par for moviegoers this winter.
The official trailer arrived on Thursday ripe with a seemingly fantastic assortment of high-seas adventure, thrills and comedic wit to its ingredients. The action is certainly a plus here for its epic vision and tone but the real star is Aamir Khan whose performance clearly tilts a favoring nod to those fond of Disney persona Jack Sparrow.
Thugs of Hindostan is one of Indian cinema’s biggest films which releases in theatres worldwide this Diwali. YRF has pulled off an incredible casting coup by bringing together two of the biggest legends of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan on screen for the first time.
That’s definitely not a synopsis with a story but that’s what they’re offering. The trailer itself pretty much does the work along with English captions centering on pirates and rebels taking to land and sea to rise against British colonial rule in India.
Thugs of Hindostan will release on November 8 in time for Diwali, so etch that on your calendars, kids!
