“I’m gonna kill grandma…again!”
Holy f-ck. I giggled at this trailer. The edits are great and the footage lends enough to peak my interest at covering some more horror this year…
That’s my initial reaction to Unholy Night, the latest horror comedy delivery from director Michael Gabriele who will have his day at the 30th installment of Fantasia for the film’s World Premiere. The film hails from Game Theory Films who are shopping to Canadian theaters and are seeking distribution outside the region.
Gino’s traditional family Christmas Eve turns into a bloody battle for survival when his long-dead grandma drops by and goes on a murderous rampage. Amid the chaos, Gino reunites with his ex and the dysfunctional duo must avoid his dead Italian relatives popping up all around the neighbourhood as they search for a way to get rid of these Yuletide revenants and survive his family Christmas.
Gabriele directs from his script for a cast led by Marc Bendavid, Shailene Garnett, Jacqueline Robbins, Toni Ellwand, Ron Lea, Christina Rosato, Olivier Renaud, Celia Owen, Ellen David, Frank Spadone, and Al Sapienza. Gabriele also produces with Jason Levangie, Marc Tetreault, and Jenna MacMillan, with Tina Carbone and Jef Burnham exec producing.
