Saturday evening was a big deal for folks attending the #Globetrotter event in Hyderabad. That includes legendary filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, joined by actors Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and composer M.M. Keeravani for the new worldly epic, Varanasi.
Filming is already underway and a release date is set for sometime in 2027. The production is already touting character artwork across its socials, and while there aren’t any plot or story details to offer at least right now, it sort of doesn’t really matter. Variety livestreamed the 2.5 hour event in which there was a small glitch midway into the reveal, but was later resolved. The crowd went fucking nuts, and Rajamouli was gracious enough to share the reveal online below in full.
