Vengeance Brings Don Ferguson Back From The Dead In New Trailers For MYSTIC BLADE

Martial artist, actor and stuntman Don Ferguson, former wrestler-turned-actor Conan Stevens, and husband and wife film making and production duo, David and Julaluck Ismalone share a collective and admirable history together in film, most notably highlighting the boundless potential in the Thai action film industry, from Tony Jaa’s breakout role in Ong Bak, to seperate films such as Tom Yum Goong, Muay Thai Chaiya, Force Of Five and Le Fils Du Vent (a.k.a. The Great Challenge). David and Ying can also be seen busy in recent photos taken from the set of Jaa’s latest international production, A Man Will Rise, which will see Jaa, David and Conan star along with veteran action film favorite, Dolph Lundgren.

For long though, David and Julaluck have also been busy applying themselves to the development, production and direction of the upcoming martial arts revenge thriller, Mystic Blade, under their production banner, Bullet Proof Films. It’s been a couple of years since then, but the film is now complete and has some cool poster artwork to share, in addition to a few new trailers newly unveiled this month. There is no release date as of yet, but the film is well on its way, so we should hopefully hear some more good news soon.
The film is based on a screenplay by Don Ferguson who executive produced the film, in addition to starring as the lead. David Ismalone, best known for his role as Ong Bak’s raging fight club character, “Mad Dog”, directed and co-starred, as well as choreographed the action. Co-director Julalck also joins the cast with her Fighting Fish star and martial arts stunt actor, Jawed El-Berni. Conan, along with Yothin Udomsanti, Tim Man, Guido Kessler, Ronny Ferguson and Thailand’s tallest man, Yok Yek, round out the cast.

SYNOPSIS:

Sam is a killer by trade, one of a group of merciless men known as the Shadow Syndicate whose business is delivering fate for a price. But when Sam is asked to erase the line between honor and evil, he turns his back on the Shadows knowing this will make him a wanted man.

After years of hiding in the hills of Thailand, Sam falls in love with a beautiful Thai girl named Mali and fathers a son named Shiro. Sam and his family live a simple and happy life fishing and living off the land. But he can’t run away from the past and soon finds out what happens when you cross the Shadow Syndicate.

Sam and his wife are left for dead on a violent and bloody night. They think they have taken everything from him until cries from Shiro bring Sam back to the world of the living.

Now with something worth fighting for and a thirst for vengeance, Sam forges a mystical blade from the ashes of his one great love. Sam and Shiro embark on a journey across the globe to track down these evil men one by one to have their revenge.
