Warner Bros.'s DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS Gets Rob Letterman To Direct

It was last year in August that Warner Bros. announced it would finally move forward with a return to the big screen for popular RPG franchise, Dungeons & Dragons for Warner Bros. and Hasbro. Now, word from The Tracking Board Writes that the studio has found a director in Rob Letterman who has since proven himself in raking in close to $160 million dollars for last year’s childrens’ fantasy novel franchise adaptation, Goosebumps.

The report states that a Vin Diesel-like actor is currently being cast to lead the film which joins a warrior and a band of mystical creatures on a dangerous quest for a mythical treasure. Wrath Of The Titans scribe David Leslie Jones wrote the script based on the popular tabletop 1974 game from TSR, Inc. Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment will produce with Stephen Davis and Brian Goldner of Hasbro and Courtney Solomon via Sweetpea Entertainment, with Vertigo’s John Middelton and Sweetpea’s Allan Zeman executive producing.
