Watch The Full Trailer For Asun Mawardi's Hitman Actioner, #66

Filmmaker and actor Asun Mawardi is well on the way with his newest hitman action thriller, #66. My review can be read here while you might be keen on the latest full trailer for the film which you can now view below.

SYNOPSIS:

66 is a washed up member of a secret organization of assassins. Down on his luck and deep in gambling debt, 66 accepts a simple job – kill a police informant in order to protect a criminal organization. Instead of doing the job, 66 sees this money as his chance to escape town, his life of killing, and perhaps find a way to make a better life for himself.

Unfortunately things are not that simple. After returning home, 66 discovers his family resents him for leaving, and his father’s auto shop is being used by criminals to deliver illegal drugs. At the same time, the criminal organization wants their money back and wants 66 punished for stealing it.

A rift grows between crime bosses Mr. Martin, who just wants business to return to normal, and Mr. John, who has big plans to buy up large tracts of land, by any means necessary, and rebuild it for his own purposes. Caught between the two men is Fara, Mr. Amin’s idealistic daughter. She runs a charity to help the impoverished and wants nothing to do with her father’s money or criminal life. Mr. John uses Fara’s charity to start buying up whole neighborhoods.

Mawardi leads the film with a cast that includes actress Donita and actors Erwin St. Bagindo and Ali Syehan with a script by Mawardi and co-scribe Matthew Ryan Fischer, and fight choreography and action by Ryan Adrian Tedja and Franki Darmawan. The film is currently slated for a local release in Indonesia while negotiations remain pending for other territories following its accolades and nominations at festivals in the U.S., the U.K. and China.
