Watch The Latest Trailer For Kamal Haasan's Neo-Noir Remake, THOONGAAVANAM

Reboots and remakes know no boundaries, and it couldn’t be truer for director Frédéric Jardin’s 2011 French flick, Nuit Blanche – a story of dirty cops, misplaced drugs, kidnapping and much more. It evidently became a point of inspiration for actor Kamal Haasan who has since turned in his own script in Tamil and Telugu and starred in what looks like another action-packed headliner for Indian audiences now in the form of Thoongaavanam.

The film is directed by Rajesh M. Selva for Raaj Kamal Films International and Sri Gokulam Movies, and a release date is pending next month for local audiences. Not to be confused with Baran bo Odar’s own upcoming U.S. version, Sleepless Night from Open Road Films, of course; Ours will come, but this is worth celebrating in the meantime, especially with the second trailer now arriving this week. You can view it at the bottom of the page below the first trailer from last month, or both for that matter.
