Film District has unveiled a new two-minute featurette ahead of the release of director Spike Lee‘s Hollywood re-imagining of filmmaker Park Chan-wook’s 2003 revenge thriller, Oldboy. The featurette highlights actor Josh Brolin‘s transformational process between stages of filming, through weight gain and weight loss, and training for the physical scenes involving the action, courtesy of the film’s fight choreographer, J.J. Perry.
OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.
