Today is a great day to be a Terminator fan if you’ve been waiting for the earliest possible teaser for the upcoming trilogy reboot from Paramount Pictures and Skydance. Certainly while many continue to lawd the prospects of remakes, the marketing strategy has thusfar proven nothing short of highly anticipatory, and now, Terminator: Genisys finally gets a full teaser ahead of its summer 2015 release, and just as promised, Arnold Schwarzenegger is back and leading a stellar cast featuring Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke and Jai Courtney.
The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John’s fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.
Indeed! Newer renditions of our familiar killer cyborgs are back and on the rampage once more, with bodybuilder and stuntman Aaron V. Williamson as the new killer T-800 and most certainly, actor Lee Byung-hun as our shape-shifting advanced model killer cyborg, the T-1000; Matt Smith, Courtney B. Vance and Dayo Okeniyi round out most of the principle cast.
July 1, 2015 is the new date for Terminator: Genisys from Paramount Pictures and Skydance before releasing the remaining two on May 19, 2017 and June 29, 2018.
