Watch The New Trailer For 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE

With Cinemax’s explosive international action series, Strike Back, now approved for a fourth and final season, its lead co-star Sullivan Stapleton has plenty to look forward to in a career that may very well launch him into mainstream Hollywood stardom with the forthcoming release of 300: Rise Of An Empire, directed by Noam Murro. Based on author Frank Miller’s latest novel with a screenplay by Zack Snyder and Kurt Johnstad, Stapleton leads the film in its follow-up story to Snyder’s 2006 thriller, 300.

300: Rise Of An Empire also stars Eva Green, Lena Headey, Rodrigo Santoro, Hans Matheson, Andrew Pleavin, Callan Mulvey, David Wenham, Jack O’Connell, Andrew Tiernan and Yigal Naor, and is set for a March 7, 2014 2D, 3D and IMAX release from Warner Bros. Pictures.

SYNOPSIS:

After its victory over Leonidas’ 300, the Persian Army under the command of Xerxes marches south towards the major Greek city-states. The Democratic city of Athens, first on the path of Xerxes’ army, bases its strength on its fleet, led by admiral Themistocles. Themistocles is forced to an unwilling alliance with the traditional rival of Athens, oligarchic Sparta whose might lies with its superior infantry troops. But Xerxes still reigns supreme in numbers over sea and land.
