Set the date for March 28, 2014! If you happen to be a filmgoer and you absolutely love the action genre, then actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and director David Ayer have a special R-rated treat for you with their new film, Sabotage.
The film will be competing against The Raid 2 on the same weekend, and I’m pretty sure a lot of action fans will schedule a double billing for that weekend; I know I just might! The R-rated genre has had its share of commercial missed in recent years with fashionable PG-13 movies cleverly disguised with bloodless-yet-convincing action sequences and thrills, so it’s quite pleasing that an iconic thesp like Schwarzenegger, in his post-political life, is looking to stay true to his roots, of which you can now witness in this week’s new, second red-band trailer at the bottom of the page.
Executive produced by Alex Ott, Sabotage also features Sam Worthington, Mireille Enos, Joe Manganiello, Terrence Howard, Josh Holloway, Olivia Williams, Max Martini, Harold Perrineau and Josh Holloway. The film is produced by Bill Block, Paul Hansen, Joe Roth, Palak Patel and Al Ruddy with a screenplay from co-writer Skip Woods.
SYNOPSIS:
An elite DEA task force deals with the world’s deadliest drug cartels. Specializing in complex mobile operations, the team executes a tactical raid on a cartel safe house. What looks to be a typical raid turns out to be an elaborate theft operation, pre-planned by the DEA squad. After hiding millions in stolen cash, the team believes their secret is safe – until someone begins assassinating them one by one.
