Action star Jean-Claude Van Damme made some big gambles in the last few years announcing a raft of projects he was to be shopping around the markets through his Rodin Entertainment banner.
His newest, We Die Young, from now two-time director Lior Geller is one of them, and indeed host to a premise that hits a little too hard and real in lieu of our current politics. Fans can now take a gander at what the new action thriller entails with its first trailer just above.
Jean-Claude Van Damme shines in this gritty action thriller set in a crime-ridden barrio of Washington, D.C. When ruthless drug lord Rincon and his MS-13 gang recruit 10-year-old Miguel to work as a runner, big brother Lucas is desperate to keep Miguel safe. Fleeing for their lives, the boys are rescued by a veteran with PTSD named Daniel (Van Damme), who helps them find their revenge.
We Die Young gets a limited theatrical/VoD March 1 release from Lionsgate at Home.
