Director Jazz Boon’s web of intrigue continues to spin with the forthcoming sequel, Line Walker 2: Invisible Spy. Heavy hitters Francis Ng, Nick Cheung and Louis Koo return in alternative roles this time around for a brand new story crafted from the popular 2014 TVB series that preceded Boon’s 2016 film.
In this action spectacle, a car crash sparks a war between local police and an international terrorist organization. After Superintendent Yip (Francis Ng) and Inspector Ching (Nick Cheung) arrest a hacker named Yiu involved in the accident, the two police officers are suspected by Superintendent Cheng (Louis Koo) as double agents. Clues lead the three officers to the far foreign soil of Myanmar and Spain, but as the investigation continues the lines between who is good and evil become blurred. This sequel to the critically-acclaimed and box-office smashing Line Walker (2016), starring three award-winning actors, continues to explore the emotional world of heavyweight police action.
Line Walker 2: Invisible Spy has since been acquired by Well Go USA. The Planos-based niche banner release the explosive action sequel in North America on August 16 following its mainland rollout a week earlier.
