What's This? ANOTHER New KUNG FU JUNGLE Featurette? Yes, Please!

For filmgoers and festival attendees in the U.K., it’s certainly a matter of mere days before the premiere of writer and director Teddy Chen‘s new martial arts action thriller, Kung Fu Jungle, while fans in Hong Kong and China anxiously await its release at home. Of course, official critiques of the film may come as early as next week, although the film is already serving up a dish of hard-hitting expectations with great trailers, crisp photos and behind-the-scenes glimpses of Chen and leading man of action, actor Donnie Yen on set.

There are currently three featurettes that many of us may know of which have gone viral in the month since the film’s promotional campaign began picking up steam. However, that isn’t stopping the movement anytime soon, especially since we now have ANOTHER new featurette for the upcoming movie just days before its unveiling at the 58th Annual BFI London Film Festival on Sunday. At least until then, fans can only hope the film will deliver what it consistently promises with its action star caliber leading the way.

Hahou (Donnie Yen) is a former martial arts instructor, imprisoned after accidentally slaying an opponent. When vicious killer Fung (Wang Baoqiang) starts targeting the reigning kung fu masters, Hahou offers to help the police catch him in return for his freedom. Despite her misgivings, the police inspector (Charlie Young) arranges his release, but when Hahou disappears she suspects him of conspiring with the killer. The shrewd Hahou has deduced the killer’s objective and realises that he will himself become Fung’s target, putting all those around him at risk. He refuses to be drawn into a fight with Fung, however when the killer threatens the woman he loves (Michelle Bai), Hahou ultimately realises that he will have to go against the martial code in order to uphold it.

ChenYen and actress Michelle Bai will also be in attendance on Sunday for the film’s opening. The film opens domestically on October 30 and 31. Check out the brand new featurette below!
