Will Yun Lee, Michelle Yeoh And Others Join The Final Season Of STRIKE BACK

I don’t watch a lot of television, but I love a good action series, and with Cinemax in my sights, Strike Back has always been a favorite. The show is on the way with its fourth and final season with filming resuming in Europe following a six-month hiatus due to an unspecified off-set injury back in February for series regular Sullivan Stapleton that forced the season behind its original shooting schedule.

Well, with the season set to launch next year, it may or may not have already been planned, but a new report from Deadline is confirming a meaty cast of new faces to end the show on a high note. The Wolverine co-star, actor Will Yun Lee is on board for what is only being described as a villainous role as a member of the North Korean State Security Department, while other details currently kept under wraps. Also joining the cast is action legend Michelle Yeoh, fresh from the set of her latest work with director Yuen Woo-Ping on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Destiny, which releases next year.

Stapleton is also returning with series co-lead Philip Winchester, as well as Robson Green, Michelle Lukes, and Milauna Jackson returning. The new cast members for the final season include a choc-full of TV veterans and athletes that include Dustin Clare, James Wilby, Adrian Paul, Joseph Gatt, Christian Antidormi, and UK UFC fighter Michael Bisping, in addition to Michael McElhatton, Max Beesley, Tim McInnerny, Leo Gregory, Mark Griffin, Wolf Kahler, Andrew Pleavin, Eliza Hope Bennett and Masa Yamaguchi.
Cinemax/HBO are co-producing with partners Left Bank and Sky, who will distribute the series in the UK. Andy Harries and Cameron Roach are executive producing the series with Michael Casey also producing. James Dormer and Michael J. Bassett are co-executive producing and writing the script with the latter directing.
