WONDER WOMAN Wraps Filming With Gal Gadot

Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has more than $860 million dollars worth of reasons to celebrate its success as the next foray for Warner Bros. currently growing DC movieverse. In the face of all this was growing criticism over its creative approach which has since kept things on the edge just a little with the current production of Justice League: Part One now under way, and so you can certainly some of all this with a grain of salt depending on where you stand.

Personally, I thought that the film worked for what it was. It wasn’t perfect, but it was whatever it needed to be to sell a Zack Snyder spectacle that made money. More to the point and in the wake of today’s news of official wrap for Wonder Woman, I admired actress Gal Gadot’s portrayal of the classic character. There are a few things that did feel underdeveloped as it all led to the DC Trintiy uniting on the big screen in the third act, but Gadot’s performance is worth every bit of excitement a fan can muster for a comic book theatrical adaptation such as this.
Thus, we move forward and venture into the origins of our titular heroine for the Patty Jenkins helmer now on par for a June 2, 2017 release. For this, we now learn that for Gadot, the film has officially wrapped since commencing production last November. “Today was my last day shooting the solo Wonder Woman movie!.” writes Gadot on Facebook. “It’s been such an amazing, exciting, dreamy, happy and fascinating experience I will cherish it forever. Thank you to everyone who was involved, our amazing cast, crew and phenomenal director.”

The CW network’s DC Week line-up back in January saw a promo giving fans a first look into the first-ever live action feature installment of the famed character created by William Moulton Marston in 1941. I’m not really at all critical of the film so far and would rather see an actual teaser to get my juices going, but as things stand, I’m optimistic. All Warner Bros. needs to do now is to sell this the right way and then we can lay out some actual informed opinions about this.
As a precursor to the film, however, I stand by Gadot’s BvS debut. She’s got my respect and I look forward to seeing how she flourishes from here on out. Chris Pine and Robin Wright join Wonder Woman along with Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, and many more.
