xXx: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE Gets An Early 2017 Release

Without a shadow of a doubt, perhaps the biggest factor in director D.J. Caruso’s latest, xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, will be the diversity and overall caliber of its cast. It’s generally what makes a Vin Diesel feature film so warm and welcoming on top of the virtual day-to-day upkeep of videos and photos the actor shares on his fanpage, and there’s no question either that similar practices by co-stars Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa are doing the same considering the amount of followers they each have on social media, starpower notwithstanding.

Yep…I’d say the bar is set pretty high for this latest foray into franchise territory with Paramount staking its claim to release internationally. Thus, the company has finally announced a January 20, 2017 release date for the film, just four months shy of Diesel’s other forthcoming franchise flick, Fast 8, which starts shooting sometime this year. So, if you haven’t figured it out yet, 2017 is going to be a great year to kick off, especially if you’re a Diesel fan living in the Xander Zone.
SYNOPSIS:

The third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise that redefined the spy thriller finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments. Packed with the series’ signature deadpan wit and bad-ass attitude, “xXx: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE” will raise the bar on extreme action with some of the most mind-blowing stunts to ever be caught on film.

Diesel, Jaa and Yen are joined by Deepika Padukone, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Conor McGregor, Andrey Ivchenko, Kris Wu and returning actor Samuel L. Jackson.
