Actress Zhang Ziyi, best known for her roles in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Rush Hour 2, Memoirs Of A Geisha, stars and produces in the latest trailer for the upcoming film from Bona Film Group, My Lucky Star, along with actresses Ruby Lin and Yao Chen. The sequel also stars Asian music sensation Wang Leehom, whose credits also include the international 2000 Hong Kong action thriller China Strike Force, the 2001 futuristic sci-fi fantasy adventure, The Avenging Fist, and the upcoming Michael Mann cyberhacking thriller, Cyber, as a brother/sister character duo with actress Tang Wei and also starring Chris Hemsworth.
The film also stars Fan Bingbing, Terri Kwan, Jack Kao, Ryan Zheng and Alfred Hsing, with action design by former Jackie Chan stunt team member, Master Wu Gang, whose credits include The Karate Kid (2010), Rush Hour 3 (2007) and Chinese Zodiac (2012). Ziyi shares producer credits with Ling Lucas, Beaver Kwei, William Cheng and Second Chan who also served as production designer.
Ziyi also stars in this year’s release of Wong Kar Wai’s latest martial arts biopic, The Grandmaster, set for North American release on DVD this August.
