A Friday Double-Header Of Game-Inspired Live Action Fanfare: FALLOUT: LANIUS And LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: BLIND AMBITION

Encryption Films has a new non-profit, high octane action short now airing on Youtube titled Fallout: Lanius. The epic shortfilm is based on the 1997 role-playing computer game from Interplay Entertainment by starring actor Johnny Domino in the lead role. Also starring are Caris Eves, Kenny Low, Korum Ellis and Lee Sheppard, along with Mitch Lewis, reprising his role as the original voice actor for the character, Legate Lanius.

Fallout: Lanius was written, produced and directed by Wade K. Savage, with Stuart Mackenzie and Kelly Bergsma also serving as producers. The shortfilm is described as “a blood soaked high concept action epic” which delves into the origin story of ‘Lanius’ the antagonist from the 2010 game installment, Fallout: New Vegas.

I originally found this at JoBlo, so I was fortunate to come across this one as it looks significantly amazing, and I highly recommend passing this one around.

SYNOPSIS:

On the brink of ruin, the Hidebark people are about to be wiped out by the slaving organization, Caesar’s Legion. However, their most ruthless warrior would prefer death to dishonour. “FALLOUT: LANIUS” will recount how a single man brings ruin to his people due to his lust for bloodshed and victory.

We also have a new live action take on the inspired first installment of a brand new webseries being hosted on Machinima Prime titled League Of Legends: Blind Ambition. The series is apdapted on the multi-player online game franchise that began in 2009, and comes from the filmmaking efforts of brothers George and Harry Kirby over at K&K Productions. The shortfilm is now available only on Machinima Prime.

League Of Legends: Blind Ambition stars Leon Chee Sua as Lee Sin, Pamela Donald as the red-haired sword-wielding scarred warrioress, Katarina. Also starring is actor David K. Whiting with action choreography by Hung Dante Hong. K & K are also hard at work on their own live action production of the Frieza Saga, for devoted fans of Shonen Jump’s popular manga/anime franchise, Dragonball Z. So be sure to follow their groundbreaking and visionary work in the days and weeks ahead.
