A PRAYER FOR THE DYING: First Look At Dara Van Dusen’s New Survival Thriller
A first look still is out for writer/director Dara Van Dusen’s survival flick, A Prayer For The Dying. Production is currently underway on the film outside of Bratislava, Slovakia, with a cast led by actors Johnny Flynn and Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated John C. Reilly.
Based on the 1999 Holt/McMcMillan novel by Stewart O’Nam, A Prayer for the Dying takes place in 1870 in Friendship, Wisconsin, where a small town of Scandinavian settlers still suffer the repercussions of the recent Civil War. When faced with a new and even deadlier threat, one man is forced to make a harrowing choice: save his young family or defend the community that gave him a second chance at life and meaning.
Also featured are Scandinavian actors Kristine Kujath Thorp and Gustav Lindh. The film is produced by Dyveke Bjørkly Graver and Andrea Berentsen Ottmar for Eye Eye Pictures.
Anton and New Europe Films are co-repping world sales rights in Toronto.
