Film writer and producer Viet Huynh took to YouTube this week to finally release his latest project, a contained sci-fi action horror thriller, Kill Shelter. Directed, edited and co-written by Paul Nicoletos, the shortfilm stars actor Billy Bussey and young actress Charlotte White in a story that takes place in an apocalyptic future where Earth is taken over by aliens and mankind is chained and prisoned liked animals until they are exterminated.
Shot on location at the abandoned Linda Vista Community Hospital in Los Angeles, California in 2011, Kill Shelter was originally intended as a pitch to possible backers for hopeful feature film. The shortfilm eventually made its way to the film festival circuit, garnering several nominations, including three awards at this summer’s Action On Film festival.
The film lasts about 14 minutes featuring excellent performances from the cast and crew, including lead actor Bussey who also does his own stunts, accompanied by fight choreographer Surawit Sae Kang, and his team comprised of Kerry Wong, Joe Perez, Morgan Benoit, Darren Haddrell and Wei Wang.
