ARK EXITUS: Johnny Yong Bosch’s 2020 Sci-Fi Action Proof Debuts On YouTube
While await Johnny Yong Bosch’s return on the feature film front with Spades, he and his team have recently unveiled 2020 sci-fi thriller, Ark Exitus over on Bosch’s YouTube channel. The short film, a concept born after development on another movie project got derailed beforehand and filmed in January that year, enjoyed an initial debut later in the same year over on Vox Rocket Studios’ Vimeo portal at the time.
Ark Exitus was directed by Bosch from a script storied and written by Bosch and co-scribe Kyle Higgins and Brian Buccellatto. The 39-minute proof short follows a covert agency tasked with policing interdimensional travel whose best assassin, Jacob (Bosch) is sent to kill Doppelgängers from a parallel universe and prevent them from invading ours. Jason Narvy, Jennifer Alamaguer, Soji Arai, Thomas Barron Sampson, Naoyuki Ikeda and Saadia Mirza also star.
“With a reduced budget and only limited resources remaining, the cast and crew regrouped with a new incomplete script and a shared determination to keep creating. The result is Ark Exitus—a gritty, high-intensity concept short born from creative resilience and unwavering collaboration” says Bosch.
