ATLAS KING: First Look At Michael Bisping In The New Action Crime Flick Out Of Berlin
Highland Film Group has revealed the first look at Atlas King, the latest film from writer/director Nika Agiashvili (Daughter of the Wolf). The company is continuing its sales at EFM this week for the flick which stars former UFC champion Michael Bisping (Triple Threat), along with Academy-Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr., Sarah Wayne Callies and George Finn.
Atlas King follows Bisping in the titular role of Atlas, a boxing legend who returns home for the funeral of his closest friend Dutch, only to be pulled back into the violent underworld he tried to escape years ago. The fight game is now ruled by ruthless crime boss Clay Emerson (Gooding Jr.), whose iron grip threatens to wipe out the last remnants of Dutch and Atlas’ former empire and seize total control of the city. To protect Dutch’s hot-headed son Tommy (Finn), a fearless young boxer determined to honor his father’s legacy, and Penelope (Callies), who struggles to hold her fractured family together, Atlas must risk it all. Savage clashes in the ring, a high-stakes heist, and an explosive showdown push Atlas to the edge, forcing him to confront Clay in a final battle of empires.
Agiashvili and Finn are also producing via Storyman Pictures along with Michael Bisping through their Punch It Films company, which launched at Cannes last year. John Edward Lee and Kevin DeWalt are exec producing along with Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier for Highland Film Group.
