ATLAS KING: Michael Bisping Actioner Leads Slate For New Label Launch At Cannes

Actor and former UFC Middleweight champion Michael Bisping (xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, Triple Threat) will star in Atlas King, a new action thriller from director Nika Agiashvili. The film also reteams the director with actor George Finn following the 2022 Georgian anthology, Tbilisi, I Love You.

Atlas King follows a hardened ex-fighter (Bisping in the titular role), who comes back to town after years in exile to bury his best friend and settle old debts. Reunited with his godson (Finn), a street-level enforcer tied to a criminal syndicate, the two forge an uneasy alliance and plot a high-stakes heist to escape the grip of a ruthless mob boss.

Atlas King is the launchpad for Punch It Films who are launching sales at the Marche du Film this month. The label is the combined efforts of Bisping and Los Angeles-based Storyman Pictures, whose Finn will produce alongside John Edward Lee, and Agiashvili, and Bisping. Giga Chikadze is associate producing.

“Storytelling and fighting aren’t so different. Both are about conflict, struggle, and heart. With Punch It Films, we will be bringing that to the big screen,” Bisping said in a statement.

Cameras will roll in Downtown Los Angeles this summer. Read more at Deadline.
