BANG BANG: Tim Blake Nelson Hustles For A Comeback In The Official Trailer!
Vincent Grishaw’s new boxing drama, Bang Bang, has been getting some great buzz since its World Premiere for the 23rd Tribeca Film Festival last summer. The film stars Tim Blake Nelson whose performance, as written for the screen by Will Janowitz, additionally earned him awarded praise at festivals in Oldenburg, Germany and Rome, Georgia.
The cast also lists Glenn Plummer, Kevin Corrigan, Nina Arianda, Andrew Liner, Erica Gimpel, and Daniella Pineda. The film has since been picked up by Sunrise Films for North American distribution following reporting last week at Variety. Additionally, Vertigo Releasing is setting up the film’s UK rollout next to an official trailer, which debuted exclusively at Collider on Thursday.
Retired boxer Bernard “Bang Bang” Rozyski (Tim Blake Nelson) is inspired to try his hand at training once he reconnects with his estranged grandson. While their training brings Bang Bang out of the hole he’s been living in, everyone questions his motivations, including an ex-girlfriend from decades ago who was privy to Bang Bang’s meteoric rise in the sport in the 80s. Is Bang Bang merely passing down inherited rage, or is there true altruism behind his tutelage?
Bang Bang will release in both regions on September 12. Check out the trailer below!
