On the hinges of its forthcoming premiere at Fantasia Festival, director Jean-François Richet’s latest novel adaptation, Blood Father, is getting a limited theatrical release in the U.S. on August 12. Further details will follow, though needless to say its easing on the soul for many a Mel Gibson fan who’ve spent the past few years waiting on this one.
SYNOPSIS:
BLOOD FATHER stars Mel Gibson as John Link, an ex-convict who fights to protect his estranged daughter from the drug cartel that is hunting her down. In this thrilling action film, John must use his connections from his past life and his skills as an ex-criminal to keep him and his daughter alive.
The good folks over at Yahoo! Movies are keeping fans abreast this week, and in large part with a brand new poster showing a clean-shaven Mel ready to do some damage! Erin Moriarty, Diego Luna, Michael Parks, and William H. Macy also star.
