BORA: Seductive New Thriller Now Filming From ‘Call Me King’ Director [EXCLUSIVE]

Director R.L. Scott isn’t letting the Covid-19 pandemic get in the way of his pursuit of filmmaking in the least. He’s underway now with Bora, a new thriller from Scott’s Shadow Motion Pictures L.L.C., and we have a small raft of stills to offer an exclusive first look.

Scott is directing from a script by actress Tiffany Toney who stars in the title role opposite Ajima Cole. The story centers on Elon (Cole), a recent college graduate whose naiveté gets the best of her when she decides to pick up wayward hitchhiker, Bora (Toney). Little does Elon know that Bora’s wild and free spirit will seduce her into participating in activities that could prove fatal.

Rounding out the cast are James M. Black, Duain Richmond, Hardie Duhaney ll, Gladys Nyoth, Juhahn Jones and Ken Black. Toney is executive producing for Shadow Motion Pictures with partners Scott, and Andre McCoy. Tim Christian, who met and eventually befriended Scott on the set of Call Me King, is also exec producing.

Bora is part of Scott’s much larger undertaking with a slate of films he’s had in the works for sometime now in the wake of his successful 2016 crime thriller, Call Me King. That includes the impending release of Shoreline Entertainment’s Lazarus, Scott’s forthcoming superhero actioner which stars Sean Riggs and Costas Mandylor, and is currently the latest phase in his longstanding efforts toward finally adapting independent superhero comic IP, The Almighty Street Team, to a live-action format.

“My team and I have actually been thriving during this pandemic.” says Scott. “It created a massive demand for more content and if you’re being smart and making sure you follow proper protocols, it’s been good. It’s a bit easier to stay on top of everything when you are using a smaller crew.”

Bora is aiming for a screening date this October with a worldwide release TBA. Check out the stills below.
