You can now head over anywhere online listing the forthcoming titles of January for Netflix, including at EW. Interestingly, Lee Seung-won’s Revenger appears to be among the lot with a date set for January 15 which should serve nicely for the martial arts action crowd following its release in South Korea earlier this month.
From Little Big Pictures, Revenger film hails the return of actor and martial artist Bruce Khan, back from obscurity since Kang Young-Man’s 2005 fantasy actioner, The Last Eve, and his appearance in the 2012 KBS2 series manhwa drama, The Bridal Mask. Khan plays Yool, a man out to seek vengeance for his family’s murder by setting his sights on the remote grounds of a deadly prison island and its incarcerated hierarchy.
That’s pretty much the thick of it as far as plot details go, though anyone by now who has seen the trailers has more than enough idea about what our man Yool’s mission will entail, and it’s pretty fair to say we like what we see. Also starring are Park Hee-Soon, Yoon Jin-Seo, Kim In-Kwon and Park Chul-Min.
