BY 6AM: Rina Takeda Kicks Ass ‘Til The Break Of Dawn In The Official Trailer!
Rina Takeda is out with a new theatrical release effort hitting screens in Japan this Fall with a new action thriller that translates to By 6am: Before The Dawn. The award-winning star of Dead Sushi and lauded High Kick Girl is joined by director Munetoshi Mukai (Color of Songs and Kaze no Tayori), who helmed the film using XR technology comprising up to 70% of the film’s virtual setting.
The plot involves Aya (Takeda), a former member of a Special Assault Team (SAT) who has since resigned from the frontlines and is now a happily married mom to a six-year old daughter. Desperately sought by her junior colleague, Sakura, to investigate the disappearance of her younger brother, Hayato, Aya commits to helping her investigation, albeit secretly, and not before putting her family to sleep with a 6:00am deadline.
Upon discovering clues linking Hayato to a possible crime, Aya is soon thrust into a night-long fierce battle with assailants of a criminal organization. As the clock ticks, it’s up to Aya to steal the night and solve the case in time to get back home to her family.
By 6am: Before The Dawn also stars Rin Marumoto and Taro Suruga, along with Masato Hagiwara, Chie Tsuji, Kinari Hirano, Masaya Kato, Ryuto, and Naomasa Musaka, and features a title track by Ryota Katayose of GENERATIONS from Exile Tribe.
Distributor Giggly Box is opening the film on October 3 at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya and other theaters nationwide. Check out the trailer below!
